water fountain cleaner?

I was drinking out of a water fountain in a building and I smelled some chemicals, probably because it had just been cleaned. Does anybody know what cleaning fluid they use on those things? Is there a chance that the chemicals to have gotten into the water I was drinking? It didn't taste off or anything but I'm kind of freaking out

well it's been a few hours and nothing happened except I feel pretty tired so it's probably fine

it was probably the chlorine in the water that you were smelling..... you are fine
