Loosing weight coming off mirtazapine

I am currently taking 30mg but an cutting down to 15ng for 2 weeks then gonna come off completely I am doing this due to extreme weight gain. I was taking it for extreme anxiety and depression have been on a number of meds but have been quite sensitive to many drugs and although this has helped my anxiety a bit the weight gain is making me severely depressed . does anyone else have any positive experiences with weight loss coming off this drug

I lost 10 lbs in 2 weeks after stopping it. I have lost 23 lbs in total since stopping but I'm very underweight. I was on it in order to have an appetite (I have severe idiopathic gastroparesis) but had to go off of it because I was binging which made me very I'll.

Weight gain is one of the side effects of mirtazapine that can pass with time. If you are still gaining weight, consult your doctor with this question and he will already say what to do.
