Hi all

I’ve sufffered HA for a long time.

I often feel a tightness in my throat which I had always put down to Globus, however when reading one day about exercises to help ease it, I came across a sentence that has since controlled my life; is there difficultly swallowing?

I immediately thought, nope I swallow fine and disregarded it and continued reading. Of course, the next time I ate, I felt it, the food does feel like it gets stuck right where I can ‘feel’ the lump. (In the dip in my throat above my collarbone).

I also have a slight cough (nothing ever moves) hoarseness and a sensation I need to clear my throat. I also have pressure across my face (?sinuses), possibly post nasal drip and I grit my teeth a lot.

No food has ever come back up.

Am in a very low way with myself yesterday and today. I’ve just started on Sertraline and am waiting on a Endoscope.

My doctor says it is highly unlikely it is anything sinister, but I am so sure it’s something bad.

I can’t be ill because I will let so many people down.

Thanks for reading.

Not sure if this helps but I’ve had similar issues.... had a cold about 2 months ago and since then I’ve felt like I’ve had a constant scratchy throat, keep thinking I have to cough, tight throat, sinus pressure, some throat pain, ear pain, some throat pain, etc... keep freaking myself out as well.

I also think I’m grinding my teeth and swallowing a lot which I guess might be contributing but who knows
