Hi,Im really intersted to know how people cope with driving who have anxiety.Has anyone stopped driving altogether because of anxiety?
I started to take lessons years ago with my partner,I have my own car. When I started to have panic attacks I lost all my confidence. My partner said I was a good driver.I would really love to be able to drive, and be independant.
Has anyone taken lessons and passed there test while suffering from anxiety and panic, how did you do it,how did you cope.

Hi Ellen

You may know about my driving problems on here.

No - I have never stopped driving cos then I wouldn't go anywhere but it is hard for me to cope.

Have a read on the coping page and then all these threads too. There are some tips to cope whilst driving.

Mine is the CBT thread at the bottom.

When I first read your title I thought It said Anxiety and Diving  ,lol.

I passed my test first time before my panic days ,
then I got so dizzy I felt I was too dangerous so dont drive anymore :weep: .

If I can stop the dizzy spells and vertigo then i will give it another go.

Good luck with your decision/
