I found a very small hard moveable lump on my Adams Apple on my hyoid bone, and I've never noticed it there before. It feels almost as if it is a piece of cartilage or bone. It almost has a singular, rectangular feel to it like a small tube, not circular at all. Like I said, it is very small no longer than the tip of my fingernail. I have no other symptoms or weight loss. I might be scaring myself and this might have always been there, or part of my Adam's apple. It feels like this is a part of my Adam's apple, but I don't know. I suffer from extreme health anxiety, and it eats away at me every single day. I am 24 years old. What should I do? Can anyone give me insight, please? Thanks

If you’re really concerned, go to a doctor of course. But if it’s small/insignificant enough that you think there’s a chance it’s always been there, it’s most likely absolutely nothing. Try to leave it alone for a week or two and check back then.

I know what you’re talking about.. I had the same thing and in fact I still do! I just don’t poke or prod it anymore. I found it when I was going through a lymphoma scare as was worried about an enlarged lymph node in my neck. I could not stop poking or prodding and found something tiny but hard and movable in my thyroid area. It’s exactly where you’re talking about. I can feel it on the opposite side as well but it’s smaller. It could be a benign thyroid nodule or just normal anatomy. I would leave it alone if I were you. You’re fine :)
