Hello there.
I'm a regular reader of this site, and have posted once a long time ago, due to the fact im rubbish on the computer i found it too complecated to post. However, i have found reading your posts very helpfull with my anxiety.

Now i find myself in a situation where i really do need to talk to you guys. So i have made it my bussiness to work this site out and post my problem, just hope it works.

Here it goes, i have bad health anxiety for some years now, have had cognitive therapy and try to use what i learnt there to help me live my life.
Things like having to go to the Doctor for anything, by the time i reach the gp i'm out of control, whether it's for myself or a member of my family. Im always expecting there to be bad news. With my anxiety i cant just have a sore throat, i think it's cancer.

Anyway, that tells you a little about me, but for now the problem is my husband, he's the one with the lump in his leg- top inner thigh, feels lumpy and yes it's grown. GP has reffered him to a specialist, obviously i will hav to go with him to the hospital, this is where i need help, this is putting me in my worst nightmare ever. How on earth am i going to be able to cope? and obviously be a support for my hubby, i cant tell him what's going on in my head as to what i think this lump is, or he'll be scared to death. You guys probably have a good idea has to what kind of thoughts i have.

So there it goes, how can i get through this appointment, and face reality?

Please help me, i'm so worrid.

Thanks for reading,

Lynette

hi there and welcome back to the site. I didn't want to read and run but i havent really any advice as you sound exactly like me  It really is hard isin't it, health worries are bad enough but when you are like us its just awful.
I'm sure it will turn out to be fine but (((((hugs)))) for the anxiety you and your husband will be going through.
I'm sure someone will be along with some good advice,

anx xx

It could just be a cyst. They can grow and not even need anything done with them. My husband has had one on his back we are watching, but we aren't worried. Just have the Dr. check it out. I'll bet it isn't anything at all to worry about.

My best friend had a lump in her leg and she was convinced it was something serious, turned out to be a cyst.

I am sure it will be fine.
