Please could i have a hug, just when i thought things where going well.10th Aug

Hi

I wondered if you kind people could give me a hug as im feeling so upset today.

I went to the doctors a few weeks ago to have a suspicious growth the size of a 50p piece checked out on my face which i thought was a freckle, but over the last couple of weeks it as grown and and changed in colour.and gone all scaly, a few people had commented over the last couple of weeks how they thought it had grown, so i went to the doctors today to have it checked, he had measured it on my first visit and today he measured it again, he said it had grown and changed colour and wanted to refer me as urgent to the hospital. so now i have to wait for a phone call for a appointment.

So as you can imagine i am so upset thinking the worst. why is life so cruel at times. just when you think you are getting back on with your life something else comes along to bring you down again.

Thankyou, i know i can always rely on NMP when im feeling down.

Andi it's always best to get it checked out love (so well done for being so sensible) - at our age we do get funny lumps bumps and automobiles don't we. I had one on the back of my leg that was really black and scared me, so the doctor removed it and it was fine.

Now even if it is something scary (and you don't know at all that it is) they will have got it early and can sort it out - ok sweetheart.:hugs:

Well i finally got my appointment and i have to go to the hospital this Tuesday at 2.45pm, so that was very quick!:ohmy: Not only do i have the worry of something awful growing i have also got the added stress of visiting a hospital, as hospitals as been one of my biggest fears. ohh i wish life wasnt so complicated.

I saw the consultant and he checked it out with a big lamp and said he cant see anything funny going off(not sure what he was looking for)but on the safe side he wants me back in a couple of weeks and have it removed by local anesepitic then he can send samples away to be checked. I think if he thought it was serious he wouldnt have left it another 2 weeks.:yesyes:
The consultant was very nice (rather young and dishy to be exact, andrea wishing she was 20years younger:winks: ) i have had a rotten morning with worry(thanks Trace and Nic for been there for me,and thankyou all for all your lovely messages you have sent me:hugs: hospitals are one of my worse fears, and to be honest i nearly lost it while sat in the waiting room(thanks Trace :winks: ), but i just got up and walked around, reading the leaflets etc and it went away, ohh why do they put posters all over the walls in hospital waiting rooms of awful things like pictures of skin cancer etc, thats sure to make peoples anxiety alot worse, it sure did me! i may discuss this the next time i go,why not have some nice pics of male models etc..:winks:

So all in all, its been quite a successful day, i have conquered yet another one of my fears, hospitals, and also the outlook for my funny looking growth is looking good!

Once again thankyou all so much for been there for me !!
