As many of you remember me around this time i was Sucked into the als rabbit hole with no hope in sight. I had Just seen a neuron after almost two years of worry and all it did was make me more anxious. I had An EMG scheduled in early September, 2017..... i didnt Go. I beat The als anxiety loophole. For all those people out there panicked worried about als. You can do it, i believe In you. This isn’t a friend, a parent, a counselor. This is coming from someone who thought they were dying from every onset of als for almost three years.

Anyways on my situation now my anxiety is back over a wrist injury, i saw A hand specialist who said it was tendonitis, but i can Feel bones popping out of place and all. I had A clear MRA but there’s something not right. I have One more year of university then i hope To be a police officer, so if anyone will say some prayers i know I’m going to have surgery on my wrist i just Want it to be back to normal again.

Anyways i wanted To update everyone, thank you for the time when i was In need as well. I prayer For all of those who helped me! If there are any questions I’ll do my best to answer. I havent Beat health anxiety. But als is no longer a worry! And it hasn’t been for almost a year!!!

Great to hear! If there's anything noteworthy that I've learned since being hospitalized due to my mental illness in February is that maintaining a sense of wellness is mostly something you do proactively.

Since getting discharged, I've started exercising again, doing things I used to do, finding new hobbies, and working full time. This has helped me stay (mostly) on top of my fears. It might not work for everyone, but I'd definitely encourage you to explore various wellness techniques like mindfulness, if you haven't already.

Second, I think it's important to understand that you'll still have some bad days. I used to think I was a failure for having a panic attack after having a week straight of good days until I realized - no - mental illness is a lifelong thing that needs to be monitored and treated accordingly.

Good luck in the future!

Glad to hear you've beaten ALS! If only everyone had those survival rates, right? ;)

What steps are you taking to combat your anxiety long-term?
