For the past ten days, I've had a scratchy throat, post nasal drip, and a minor cough along with a general feeling of exhaustion and achiness. It seems to come and go a bit. I am so freaked out it's lymphoma; three months ago I got a CT scan for something else and they noted my spleen was on the cusp of being mildly enlarged. I went to a specialist who checked me thoroughly said it was a normal variation and I was fine, but I am so scared they missed something and this feeling of unwellness is actually cancer.

My daughter has a terrible cough, so I know that there's a virus going around, but why would the unwellness feeling last so long?

It takes a week to catch a cold, a week to have it and a week to get rid of it.

7-10 days is the normal length of a cold, with coughing lasting several weeks in many cases. I almost always have a worse version of my daughter's colds because as moms we get less rest when we're sick.

I haven't been taking care of myself at all; we just moved transatlantic and there's been a lot of stress associated with that. I am hoping that is just it, rather than something sinister. I generally catch everything the girls have; this just seems to be lingering so much.
