I did it! I actually made it to the hospital and had my surgery. I was allowed 5mg diazepam in the morning. My admission time was 4 pm & it had worn off before I went in.
But I got through it. Felt very concerned when I realised there was no chance of going home that night. As it happened I had a bad reaction to the general anaesthetic & the co2 used during the surgery so was frequently sick for a day afterwards. It was very very unpleasnt.
But despite my panic, I did it. Wow!
