Diazepam withdrawal

Hi , If this is in the wrong area please move .

I am not looking for medical advice but wanted to post that I have been taking diazepam on and off for 20 years and daily for about 18 months . My daily dose has been 6mg - 8mg depending on how I was that particular day .( I get a prescription for 28 x2 mg per week )

16 days ago I decided ( against well documented advice not to go CT ) to stop taking diazepam .

I guess I am looking for reassurance from anyone who has been through benzo withdrawals


The symptoms I am suffering are mostly morning panics , breathlessness, tension headaches ,muscle pain and a general all over sense of doom and worry . Some days better than others .
