The past week my whole body has been off. My vision has been off, like tunnel-like. I stumble over words when talking, I have pains, numbness, twitches, feel weak, depressed, hopeless, trapped. Getting out of bed, putting my shoes on and walking to my car is like an obstacle.

Ugh. Does anyone ever have their whole body just feel off, both mentally and physically?

Because anxiety produces tension it can effect every part of the body, especially where there are muscles, and that includes chest wall muscles as well as the muscles of your eyes. Also anxiety produces much more adrenaline and this can heighten the effects of the nervous system. The list of symptoms that anxiety is responsible for is endless.

Having said that, a certain amount of anxiety is normal and helps us to react to stressful situations. The problems start when people fear those reactions and think something bad is happening, then a vicious circle begins.
