A bit of a weird topic, but do you feel guilty over the thing you fear - as if its your fault over what happened? Whether its an imaginary or actual cause (I got sick because I did something bad in my past)
I am currently afraid of rabies and I keep being plagued by feelings of guilt for touching that kitten and not insisting on a rabies shot etc.
