Seeing A White Blotch

something very odd has stuck me this morning i dont know if this has allways been here and im just now picking it up but when i look at a computer screen/sky or any other bright backround/light i see this werid white blotch that kinda fades in and fades out in the course of a few seconds ive looked this up and it says retinal detachment if it was wouldn't it be allways there bc right now it only presents itself only on bright stuff also another thing when this thing shows up if i look at dark area it turns black i really dont know what this is its scaring me

Sounds like a floater to me. They are very common and present in many peoples eyes.
