My doctor has decided to wean me off of valium, but will up my klonopin. Basically to have me on just one type of benzo and get a baseline.

But I'm having withdrawals. Does this make sense? I've cut back 2.5mg of valium and upped the klonopin by .5mg (should be the equivalent of 8mg of valium) but still feel like crap.

I've had benzo withdrawals before and know this is what it is....pure hell.

Anyone else ever experienced this when changing a benzo?

Guess no one has had this problem.

Mate I kind of deal with the same thing but
Confused...

I have lorazepam, clonazepam, Xanax and diazepam I take them depending on how and what situation I’m dealing with? It sounds like your cross over has been down to quick.

Benzo withdrawals are all about the amount of benzo left in your blood after the half life etc

Very unusual bc klonopin is a much more potent benzo than valium. How much valium were you taking before your doctor decided he needed to wean you off? I have been through several benzo withdrawals and yes, it is hell on earth. Klonopin was by far the worst followed by xanax. .5 mgs of klonopin = 10 mgs of valium according to Professor Ashton.
