The doctors have just rang and told me I need to retake a full blood test in a couple of months which has increased my anxieties so I am frightened to follow the explanation on last weeks tests with the nurse next week.

I had something similar recently, it can just mean something was a bit 'borderline', meaning it was ever-so-slightly above normal range. In my case it was liver enzymes, and the slightly-high count was gone on the next test, and was probably just because I didn't think and had a strong beer the night before a blood test...

If they're saying it needs to be retaken in a couple of months, they're hardly panicking about something.

Doctors are sometimes bad at remembering there are a subset of their patients that will get overly anxious over things like this. I had a full-blown panic attack when it happened to me, so I know what it's like.
