hello everybody,

A few months ago I had a strong pain behind my ear. I went to the ear specialist but they could find nothing. My GP said it could be psychosomatic but if it's not gone in one month I have to go for an MRI.

Now I investigate my ears regularly, how are asked for a health anxiety sufferer??? and to my great surprise found a little lump on the mastoid process. I again went to my GP but she does not feel a lump. I don't want to go for an MRI because I know it will not solve my problems but I wonder if I should see a Nother doctor to check the small lump?

fortunately the pain is gone it's only sore when I press on it. what is scary for me is that the lump is hard and feels more like a little tube or attachment. I know it's really strange but I wondered if anybody has any advice for me at this stage.

Have a nice evening guys or a nice afternoon where ever you are!

Of course it's going to hurt if you keep pressing on it! I think two doctors and the fact the pain is gone indicates all is well.

Hi again,

sorry FMP for here I am again. I need some advice from the ladies here about migraines/headaches during their period.

Is it normal to have a headache or sharp pain on one side of the head, during the first days of a period, visual auras are present too. Its not a typical pain, stabbing, super sore and then gone.

Due to above post, plus this pain being on the same side makes me a bit scared. My doc will give me a mri greenlight immediately, but I want to avoid it...just scared that I am not seeing the reality because I am suffering from HA...

I give myself two weeks and then Ill go to the doc if the pain is still there. Do you also wait first before running to the doc?

Good luck to those who are anxious in these moments. Its really awful but we háve to find a way to live.

As a male I have no idea about the effect of a period, but what you say here certainly sounds pretty standard for migraines.

I like your attitude about waiting to see the doctor if symptoms still bother you after a set period of time. It's a tool I've used to fight HA at times. Worry about it then and not now.

Thx Jray I appreciate the answer :)
Currently I am not doing so well. My Panic Level has skyrocketed since 4am. I woke up on the Right side from Spinning in my head. The dizziness is only when I am lying on the Right side and I am Feeling a bit restless About it I got up and had a drink of water, then tried to go back to bed but it was there again as soon as I lied on my Right side or have my head tilted Right. Ist simply scary and makes my Panic high, SOOOO now I will Focus on calming myself and then decide what to do.

Anyone here had similar experiences?
