Over the past few days I've been getting a weird ache when I change postitions. It's in the chest. I was diagnosed with costochondritis, but I read a "differential diagnosis" was Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm. I got an echocardiogram, but those can't see aneurysms on the descending aorta, and it's really freaking me out now. :(

Where did you read differential diagnosis? I have a substantial ascending aortic aneurysm, and have had it for a good while. Generally there are zero symptoms with aortic aneurysms, was it on your report from your doctor?

My aneurysm was originally diagnosed from an echo, but it is at the aortic root and ascending. I have never had a single symptom of any kind. I know many, many people who have them, not a one has ever mentioned pain. I suspect the fact that it is when you move suggests muscular/skeletal.
