Hi everyone,

For a few years i've suffered with strange panic attacks away from home, however i wouldn't classify them as 'Agoraphobia' as such - as i'm not "fearful" about leaving the house.

Basically, for the first 10 to 20 minutes away from home... i have all the classic anxiety symptoms, feeling hot, feel like i'm sweating buckets (which im not), heart feels like its beating out of its chest, nervous stomach feelings, little shakey and so on. :weep:

However once the "attack" has subsided i'm completely "normal" for the rest of the day.

I'm on 20mg citalopram - i seem to have the symptoms before i started citalopram and during it - so i don't know how much of an effect it really has.

Just wondering if anybody else has anything similar?

Thanks :)

Agoraphobia is not just about leaving the house though.

It does sound like classic anxiety symptoms.

I used to have 15 years of panic disorder. The last panic attack I had was about 2 years ago. I was lucky, that is to say, that I didn't have a single antidepressant at all. And after suffering deeply during those panic years eventually I have overcome it by myself.

A few weeks ago I was kinda shocked by watching this video:
