Last night i got some devastating news about a very dear friend of mine taking her life. I went into shock, hands and arms went numb and tingled, i had to stop myself having a panic atrack and steadied my breathing. Obviously im grieving today and a bit numb. Any tips for coping when we already suffer with anxiety? I feel sick and im shakey but today i need to stay calm and try and control my anxiety.
Thanks for any tips x

Times of shock and grief can be quite difficult to deal with. Allow yourself to feel any emotions, don't try to suppress them and just take a little extra care with yourself. Plenty of comforting cups of tea, maybe a gentle walk, maybe watch a film on TV, a sit where you can be quiet and meditate. Don't go rushing around doing things to take your mind off of it, because you need a day or two just to take it in and maybe have a good cry. x :hugs:
