Inner ear twitch... the most annoying type

So after my horribly stressful few weeks at work, and an annoying stubborn eye twitch that comes and goes
One began in my ear, it's like a fluttering all day and constant, when I forget about it or get on with things it's easy to ignore but led in bed it keeps coming
It's like a heartbeat but irregular? Has anyone else had this

I'm not to worried right now just chalking it up to general stress and anxiety but wasn't sure if it was a common thing or if I'm just 'lucky'
