Hi there

I cannot stop checking my body for lumps, bumps, bruises, swellings or discoloured patched mainly in the shower or other times when not clothed. Every time I look I find something and it is really annoying and worrying but I cannot help checking and the I start googling stuff.

Are there any tips to prevent this obsessive checking?

Thanks

I think this kills two lumps with one glove! :shades:

Seriously though.... they put a cone around a dog or cat's head to keep them from bothering a wound. This is pretty much the same thing. You can't feel lumps and bumps nor can you type. As an added benefit, they'll help keep your hands warm and protect you from burns! ;)

I know exactly how you feel and have tried to stop myself.

The best way I've found to coping with this is to set aside 30 mins every Sunday night to check myself for lumps and bumps etc. and then leave it at that for the rest of the week. It seems to work knowing I have time set aside and shouldn't worry for the rest of the week.

This is my biggest issue.
