Lingering cough after a cold

At least over a month ago now, I’ve had a cold. It was a pretty bad one too. Obviously it causes you to have a cough near the end of it. But I’ve still got a dry cough and it’s been weeks since my cold ended. Has anyone else had something similar to this?

Yes, quite often. It's pretty normal.

I had a cold in August and the cough has only just gone away a week or two ago. It's annoying but colds can be hard on your lungs and it takes time for the irritation to go away.
