Dizziness when closing eyes at night

Hi everyone.

So when I’m lying down in bed at night and I close my eyes sometimes I can go really dizzy. Like the room is spinning. If I open my eyes it stops and the room isn’t spinning. The dizziness either lasts for a min or so or stops when I open my eyes.

Please say someone else gets this?? What is it? I’m hoping it is anxiety related and not some sort of vertigo.

I’ve had this before. It’s usually anxiety or sometimes when I have my period. It’s nothing terrible as far as I can tell. Worst case it’s an inner ear thing, ie. wax build up or fluid behind the ear drum. I’ve had all these things and also worried but it was all fine in the end.
