Does anyone else's symptoms disappear in doctor's office, only to come back later?

I am having arm pains for some time, and finally made appointment with pc physician to get it checked out.

When she started to check my arm there was no pain, she tried all twisting and prodding to recreate pain and numbness but nothing. I was feeling great too for couple of days, and now the pain is back.
