View Full Version : Abdominal pain on side?

For the past week I've had pain on the right side of my transverse abdominal. It feels very sore when I flex or cough. I can only describe it as a knot. It seems to be radiating to my lower back and bladder too. I'm terribly worried it's something serious. The past month I was planking everyday for up to 3 minutes. I started having a slight pain in my right side that felt like a cramp. I disregarded it and continued planking. My logical mind is telling me that it's muscle related since I seem to feel better when I stretch it but my not so logical mind is telling me it's some type of cancer or other disease. Has anyone experienced something similar?

You said all the answers in your own question. Planking every day. It only hurts when you cough or flex. It feels like a knot.

Literally all of those things point to simple muscle issues. Give your body a few days away from planking and working out, and you should always have rest days built in. Doing it everyday may well be the issue.
