i still get mind pops every now and then, I posted about it on this board and it seems that other people get it, too.
Basically, I will get random words in my mind when doing automatic tasks (brushing hair, walking down the street) and single words pop up in my head, e. g. 'banana' or my first name.
There seems to be a growing body of research on these so called mind pops and it is on the one hand linked with creativity in people. However, it is also linked to schizophrenia. The only difference is that healthy people will get mind pops maybe once a month, whereas people with schizophrenia will get them 3-4 times a week. I'm certainly on the high end here, meaning I will get them 3-4 times a week for sure. Hence, I'm stressed out beyond normal that I might be developing schizophrenia.
I get so super anxious about it that I get breakdowns where I can't eat or drink anymore. I don't know what to do and hope I will find some support here again.
