I was walking barefoot around my house, and stepped in some cat faeces my cat had left in the landing. I washed it off and inspected my foot, and there didn’t appear to be any open cuts, but the skin was dry and a little cracked. I used a sponge to wash my foot at first, and then followed up by washing it more thoroughly with my hands.
I only realised after that my hands have small cuts on them, including some torn up nail beds, so now I’m worried that some of the bacteria may have gotten into the cuts on my hands while I was cleaning my foot.
I got a tetanus booster back at the end of August this year, so I’d imagine I shouldn’t have anything to worry about, right?
