Hi all,

I went for a run on Thursday evening for the first time in a while.

On Friday morning I had some pain in my left leg.

However, on Friday evening I flew for two hours.

The pain got worse and I’m now worried I have DVT.

Last night the pain went away while sleeping and is now worse again after I started walking around.

I’m worried :(

Can someone help or provide advice at all? :(

DVT pain wouldn't come and go surely?

Sounds muscular to me.

There are very specific things to look for with a DVT and you haven't mentioned any of them.

I think you have answered the question really as you went for a run, which you haven't done for a long time so you probably pulled a muscle.

I seem to be running into DVT related 'things' everywhere today.

Took a medication history from two patients in work this morning, both with DVTs.

Got back to the dispensary, heard a colleagues brother was rushed to A&E with a suspected DVT.

And now came on here and saw your question!

Anyway, not to make light of such a (potentially) serious matter.

No, DVT symptoms do not come and go like you describe. And as Nicola rightfully pointed out, the pain is accompanied by other symptoms.

It's most likely muscular. Relax! Enjoy your weekend

I have had this scare before. Does you pain area look red or swollen? I was scared of dvt that I went to ER asking for an ultrasound and D dimer test.... But it was nothing and I also had calf pain.
