It just can't be debated anymore. The question we should ask ourselves shouldn't be "Can anxiety cause this feeling", the question should be "Am I feeling anxious and if so what am I going to do about it?".

Here's an article from Shape magazine, the numbers are astounding:. 70% of people with anxiety experience chronic pain. Patients with headache, muscle ache, or stomach pains are 2.5x - 10x more likely to have anxiety, panic, or depression disorder. (although in some cases I think it might be a "chicken and egg" scenario). Full link here:
