Im currently a university student and so far I have achieved good grades (80%+) average in second year but I am always incredibly stressed about every assignment and often I cant sleep before exams as I think "What if I cant sleep before this exam" and this causes me extreme stress. I was wondering if anyone can suggest any techniques to reduce this as its just really stressful in general all the time. Like even for exams which I have scored really highly in the day before I was sure I was going to fail.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Meditation is probably THE most effective way of dealing with this.

Your anxiety is currently based around hypothetical "what if's".

I would suggest looking into the true nature of meditation as a kind of training for the brain that greatly reduces your over reliance on creating imaginary problems, and also not reacting negatively to real problems.

I found this book on mindfulness (which is more or less meditative activity) by Mark Williams to be a good start, as it's more practical and less esoteric than some of the more Buddhist and philosophical approaches.
