Hi all,

I'm currently bogged down in my latest bout of health anxiety (it's pancreatic cancer this time). I'm beyond frustrated by the all consuming anxiety that takes me away from enjoying time with my young family. What are some techniques or distractions that have worked when you're in the midst of a health anxiety attack and need to be pulled away from consulting Dr. Google?

First review your symptoms. Don't Google. It. Just sit and experience your body. What are you feeling, collect those feelings. Then analyse them. How valid is your analysis of the symptoms. What would you tell a friend reporting the symptoms. What would tell a friend who reported the symptoms and asked You for a diagnosis.
Everyone will have their own distraction technique I favour journalling, medication and playing supports computer games like tennis or snooker. Anything that callms and focusses
