View Full Version : My mother may have throat cancer?
My mother recently quit smoking and is doing great but recently she said she felt lumps in her throat and could feel them at the base of her tongue with her finger. She also said that her throat feels dry and has ear pain. Does this sound like throat cancer?
Any replies are appreciated. I'm really worried.
Lingual tonsils are at the base of the tongue which are very lumpy, although small. These can get infected though, and enlarge / cause ear pain. Especially in smokers!
It can be a million other things that are much much more likely than throat cancer. Ear infections are serious though, she needs to see a GP.
