Xanax Withdrawal-How long?

Hello-I have been on Xanax for two years and eventually got up to 2 mg a day-not a very high dose-I am weaning off in two weeks because Of pregnancy and I am not feeling intense withdrawal but some and I was wondering if any one else has done it this quick-I have NO choice! Anyway, I want to feel safe and know someone else has been through it-there are so many horror stories out there that just don't do me any good-only worse!

I just need to know if this is a normal weaning time and is it also safe?!

Hi Crystal, Well I have no personal experience of weaning off Xanax or any other benzo but if no one on here is able to offer some advice I would recommend that you visit the benzo site at http://www.benzo.org.uk/

They have a forum on there where people will be able to guide you through the withdrawal. I know some people on here don't think that forum is such a good place as they are all very anti benzos, but if your aim is to come off then I would imagine it would be the ideal place for you to get good advice and support.
