So.. I had a nice day with my family yesterday. Came home where I live alone. I’ve literally been waking on and off all night feeling I can’t breathe and a real panic feeling in the pit of my stomach. Never had it every time I go to sleep before. I’m exhausted and facing a day on my own worrying about it on my own. I’m too exhausted to go anywhere. Anyone else get this or can offer me some support please? It’s ruined my Christmas. Thank you

It's an awful feeling isn't it? I've just spent two nights with my family, I came home earlier today. I still feel rough, I thought I'd be ok once I'd come home, but looks like it'll take a while to feel better.

I prefer to be alone when I'm like this though. Thank goodness I have lovely solitude now.

You'll be ok, now that the stress of Christmas is over.

Take care.

Hi there, have you been having the same feelings ? I have never been plagued with it that badly before as in everytime I fall asleep. I am just so tired out and it has ruined my Christmas. I was supposed to go and see friends today but I feel so tired out.. I hope you feel better soon!

OH thanks. I've just had a bit of lunch and I think I'm on the mend.

It sounds your nerves are frayed. Time will help see you through. In the past I've woken up with panic attacks but I've never had problems with sleeping. Lots of people on here will know what you mean though. It's very unpleasant isn't t?

Maybe tomorrow you can try and go out for a walk. Hope that helps.

It's pretty common and nothing to worry about. Most likely because of the stress of Christmas day. Even though you enjoyed it, more food, alcohol, social interaction and travel is a stress. Just rest (as your CNS is telling you to do) and give it as little thought as possible. It doesn't HAVE to ruin your Christmas

Just let it be.

I've been feeling anxious and panicky as well,. I m thinking it's because my routine is off with Christmas and all. Definitely alot of anxiety at night though.

Mine has been crippling.. Night times are worse especially when you live alone and are generally quite isolated it’s even harder..

It's horrible. Most of my panics seem to happen at night, woke out of a sleep then wonder whynim so alert at 4am. My wife goes crazy if I wake her mid panic even tho I need some help if it's a bad one.
