Hi Everyone,

I'm pretty sure I have GAD, always finding something to worry about. I've had a lump on my lower jaw just below molars for a couple of years but it was pretty small. Looked like it might be an overgrown tooth root or something. I noticed last week that it's grown, and is now about the size of an elongated pea.

Managed to get a dentist appointment tomorrow to get it checked. My rational thoughts of just a 'bone bump' are clouded by anxiety. I commonly have a tight jaw due to (I believe) chronic stress & I think I may have something going on with jaw joint on same side as the bump. I've also got a sore patch underneath but I'm pretty certain that I did that poking about.

I've looked online (of course...) and I'm now pretty much a world expert in jaw tumours.

Anyone had this before. Happy to be told I'm an idiot...

Mandibular tori. Bony outgrowths on the lower jaw. I have them, one bigger than the other. Totally benign and harmless

Thanks for the reply mate. Yeah I have a couple on the inside of jaw. Just that this one whilst was always there is now sitting proudly on its own & much larger. Didn't look too nasty & feels nice & smooth which I believe is usually a good sign. Just my usual trick of spoiling a few days of my life over it.

It's starting to get in the way a bit so guessing it'll need to come out...
