So my anxiety has been rearing its ugly head again -

i stopped smoking recently and my gums started to bleed. i understand that its
the blood flow coming back to my gums as smoking supresses this.

but i wake up in the morning and sometimes spit some blood out.

i have an appointment on thu for a check up with my dentist but im terrified
theyll say youve lost bone structure your teeth will have to come out you have severe gum disease we cant treat.

ive had a couple of dreams were my teeth have fallen out.

i do brush twice a day i dont floss regular.

just hope i dont get a panic attack while im in the chair ,

ive googled tooth and gum disease and convinced myself the worst.

If google searches are scaring you, stop doing them

thanks - thats what i try to do but
a lot of people here fall over and go down the google rabbit hole
if we didnt half the people here would be gone.

and it helps me to write down what im feeling and sharing it in case it rings with other people.

You're putting words into the dentists mouth. In other words you are fortune telling. In reality they won't say anything of the sort. You brush twice a day, that's good. So you don't floss much well neither do I, and I expect a whole chunk of the population don't.
You are worried about your teeth so you have these dreams. Dreams are not facts, they are your mind going out to play. So pay them no heed.

Come Thursday night you will wonder what you were worried about.

How often do you go to the dentist?

So you went 2 years back. Well, I think the extreme kind of gum disease, bone and teeth problems you are talking about would have shown their face a couple of years back and your dentist would have commented and given you advice.

Good luck tomorrow.
