Tummy ache

Afternoon all.

Can I ask your advice? Yesterday I had a stomach ache all day - at the top of my stomach.....'Acid', I thought to myself. It got progressively worse. I took some Pepto Bismol and went to bed. At 3am I woke up feeling dreadful....vomited at 4.30, and had to call work to inform them :weep: I'm gutted....I hate ringing in sick.

What scares me is this: In January I had a nasty stomach ache....it came on suddenly, and was so severe I couldn't move. I got rushed into hospital for emergency surgery. It turned out I'd had two huge ovarian cysts and one of them had burst.

Now, yesterday I had a throbbing pain near one of the scars from the operation. The tummy ache is sore but isn't as bad as it was then. Do you think it could be the same thing again???? I had a scan a few months ago which was fine.

I don't know what to do. I would feel like a tit ringing the on-call GP to tell them I have a tummy ache, but I'm really worried.

If it is just acid, what can I do to make it go away? I'm supposed to be working tomorrow and Monday too and neeeeeed it to go :weep:

Oh Mary doll I remember you saying in chat last night you had tummy ache :hugs: You say yourself that the pain isn't as severe as it was before and also the scan a few months ago was ok so could it be maybe you've ate something?? If I was you I would give it another day hun I get tummy ache regular and normally when I forget about it then it goes but that's usually the way with all my symptoms lol. Hopefully by the time you read this your tummy will be on the mend :D xxx

I phoned work in the end and used them as a GP service! They said the same as you - wait another day and see how it is.

Mary Doll? Mandy sounds like Rab C Nesbitt ;)

I am sure it will be fine sweetheart, I used to have terrible tummy troubles and acid all down to the H Pylori virus that used to really make me feel ill.

Mandy is right (Damn, I hated it when that Rangers wench is right) give it another day.
