Unknown fear

Hello everyone, I'm feeling awful today, terrible fear/dread in my stomach, shaking uncontrollably, dry mouth, headache, just suddenly started about an hour ago, I've had this for years and know it will eventually pass, it can last for anything upto 7 days, got work tomorrow and I'm dreading it if this continues, can anybody relate to these symptoms?

Sorry you’re feeling so rubbish.
One of the key symptoms of anxiety is feelings of something bad happening imminently.

What do you usually do to help yourself when you get like this?

Hi scass, there is nothing I can do but wait for it to pass, I have diazepam which helps me to sleep but does nothing to ease my symptoms, I've had this since I was about 8, used to only get them 2 or 3 times a year but as I've got older they've got more frequent, it usually starts just as I'm dozing off to sleep or I wake about 03.00 with them, not hopeful of a cure but would like to know I'm not alone x

You're really not alone.

For what it's worth, I tend to find work helps me with mine even if I don't feel like it at the time.
