Ive never been diagnosed with TMJ, but my jaw clicks and pops when I chew, sometimes feels stiff on sides near sideburns or chin.

So im wondering if TMJ affects speech, or can be related to dry mouth. Yesterday the front of my neck felt tight, and later I stumbled over a few words. My mouth gets dry a lot, and feel like it takes the breath out of me to talk sometimes.

Could these be related to TMJ?

I have TMJ and I have more symptoms than just a clicky jaw, but everyone's different. Have you considered visiting a doctor? Do you clench your jaw as well?

I've also heard from my dentist that a dry mouth can affect speech as well.

I have TMJ and dentist mentioned the last time I was there that aside from physical signs of teeth grinding, she can tell I grind my teeth because my mouth is dry. I had never heard that before! So definitely possible you have TMJ, grind your teeth, and have a dry mouth as a result.

TMJ can cause so many symptoms and pain beyond just your jaw. It's worth getting a diagnosis both floor peace of mind and to see if a night guard could help relieve symptoms.

I stopped getting migraines when I started treating my TMJ.
