Irrational Heart Attack Fears

Hello everyone,

I came across this article on FB about the increase of heart attacks in younger people. The article said that the greater prevalence in younger people is in part due to substance abuse (which I don’t do).

The part that has me spooked is that the article concede they didn’t know all of the reasons why this trend was continuing.

I weight 170lbs. I run 3-4 times a week. I eat good. I don’t drink alcohol at all.
Nonetheless this is all in my back of my head.

I think you just gave yourself the best insight :) Just because its a trigger, doesn't mean you have to point the gun at your foot and pull it.

The rise is due to cardiac stressed caused by massive over consumption of caffeine both from energy drinks (I see kids as young as 9-10 drinking them when I drop my son to school) and coffee.
