My tonsils feel swollen, my throat is sore in the morning then goes away, now I'm developing ear pain. I think this is real.

"My tonsils feel swollen" - Based upon your medical training, or based on your anxiety. Verfied by a Dr?
"my throat is sore in the morning then goes away" - This is incredibly common with both heartburn (acid reflux at night burns your throat), mouth breathing (breathing through your mouth dries your throat and sinus passages - i had this problem before my CPAP therapy), or even a simple cold/allergies (excess mucus irritating the lining)
"now I'm developing ear pain" - See number two, specifically a cold/allergies. Excess mucus can clog and irritate your whole sinus system, and cause pain everywhere.

As a few of my doctor friends have told me - "When you hear hoof beats, think horses not zebras". Nothing you said raises ANY bell to think cancer, let alone a more uncommon one like throat cancer. Everything you stated simply sounds like cold/flu/allergy symptoms, and i wouldn't give a second thought to any of it.

cancer doesn't come and come in the day so how can it be that?

Sounds more like tonsilitis? Have you been to an ENT?

My tonsils have been feeling swollen for about a week. I went on a course of amoxicillin and I thought it was helping but unfortunately it seemed to have come back

It still doesn't mean cancer though does it?

Go back and see the doc - you may need another course.

Did you have a doc look at it? ENT? Or your GP/PCP? If you haven't been smoking or chewing tobacco and you're really young, it's probably not that. The fact you're still in pain and they feel swollen means the doc should be looking at possibly tonsilitis (which can be treated), or as Nicola has said, try see if you need another round of amoxicillin.

My throat has hurt every day for two weeks. It's from allergy season starting. You probably have post nasal drip, which is causing a sore throat and fluid in your ear. This is the story of my life from March to June.

You also have all the symptoms of probably a dozen benign medical conditions. You are hearing hooves and seeing zebras my friend.

Also, stay away from Google. There is only one way you know the symptoms of throat cancer

My tonsils feel swollen, my throat is sore in the morning then goes away, now I'm developing ear pain. I think this is real.It is real. You have a sore throat, or allergy/sinus issue, or worst case, tonsillitis. Ears, noses, and throats are all connected...what affects one part often affects the others, that's why there are ENT specialists!

For you to even think about cancer from what you described is completely irrational.
