Ok I cant travel the entire country but anyone fancy a meet up within about 100 miles radius of Southampton Hampshire????

Can do Dorset, Devon, Surrey and neighbouring counties!!!

i am still very much interested... i have to work every other weekend... with this next week end being my weekend on.
im dont really have any suggestions but west bay is nice...also weymouth as there is lots to do but also the space if people need it. i am happy to travel up to a couple of hours though and also am happy to give a lift to anyone from here.

The West Country? Surely you want something central so that even those who live along way away (both ends of the country) have a similar distance to travel. Dorset from Scotland is a huge distance. Plus I live in The Midlands. :O)

Not that you are excluded or unwanted you understand but this meet was designed to include our west country members who cannot get to other meets!!!

The midlands is too far for me but it would be lovelyif we could have a huge nmp meet centrally that all could come to......project for next summer me thinks

Hi everyone! I'm pink-daisey's long-suffering husband. She's working today while I convalesce, and she's ORDERED me (lol) to let you all know that she has found a pub/restaurant to go to for a meet up :yesyes:.

The pub is called "The Springfield". No, it's nothing to do with The Simpsons :laugh:. It's a little outside Weymouth and easily accessible from North, East & West. If anyone wants foolproof (well, pretty much foolproof, but if you were my daughter, you would STILL get lost!) directions, please let my wonderful wife know, and I'll be happy to give you them.

The pub is in a lovely residential area (see the "another picture" link above for pics of the surrounding area). It's on level ground and very wheelchair friendly. The car park is immediately beside it and there are several entrances/exits. The restaurant has lots of windows, giving it a nice, airy feel. At this time of year, it won't be very busy on a Saturday afternoon, and it serves food al day. There's usually a good selection of food and prices are about average.

I've been to this pub, and if the weather is nice, its situation is absolutely beautiful! I look forward to meeting you all there! (She-who-must-be-obeyed says that I WILL be there :sign20:)

The esplanade is easy to find its on the seafront!!!

There is on street parking right outside!!

I have rung them and they do food all day and they have a website where you can view menu put The Dorothy Inn Weymouth into search engine and You will find it!!

I phoned the pub today... the open all day its new owners!! They open from morning to 11 oclock at night.

Sataday's its food all day.

I have discussed it with the owners we decided to book a large table for now cos alot of people r coming and so it reminds him that a large party is coming so we could he could save an area or seating for us in the pub...

I have to agree with Kazz here, if somewhere is booked then people feel pressured to attend which then ends up with them backing out at the last minute.

Also the last meet Kazz and I went to everyone scattered amongst a few tables and wandered about it, it didnt feel so restricted then.
