Hello

OK, I'm seeing a specialist next week after finding a small lump in my right breast. I haven't been OVERLY worried about this but I've just found out costachondritis can also be caused by breast cancer spreading to the cartilage. Is it just a coincidence I've had really bad shoulder/back/chest pain for about 2 years + a lump?! Really worried about this lump being something sinister now. Please advise :(

Not sure we can advise to be honest. You are being seen by a specialist next week so let them tell you what it is etc.

Who told you this? Google I presume? I have a lump on the left hand side it’s like a lump on my rib bone I’ve had it as long as I can remember and I’m still here. You wrote costachondritis so I’m presuming you have a boney lump rather than a lump in your actual breast tissue?

I read it on Mayoclinic :
CausesCostochondritis usually has no clear cause. Occasionally, however, costochondritis may be caused by:

Injury. A blow to the chest is one example.
Physical strain. Heavy lifting, strenuous exercise and severe coughing have been linked to costochondritis.
Arthritis. Costochondritis might be linked to specific problems, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis.
Joint infection. Viruses, bacteria and fungi — such as tuberculosis, syphilis and aspergillosis — can infect the rib joint.
Tumors. Noncancerous and cancerous tumors can cause costochondritis. Cancer might travel to the joint from another part of the body, such as the breast, thyroid or lung.

The lump is within my breast tissue. I have had achy ribs for a couple of years, so this finding worried me a lot.

Isn't it interesting that HA causes the brain to make words disappear or change to feed the dragon?

2 YEARS??? You'd be dead by now. Dont worry, you are not that lucky to live with metastatic breast cancer for 2+ years and not know about it. It's not that.
