Does anyone know if i can get CBT therapy on the nhs, work are making me redundant as of the end of january and have been of sick for few months now on sick pay and cant afford to go private.

I'm pretty sure that CBT is available on the NHS, although I don't know any details. I think the waiting lists can be lenghty though depending what area you are in, but then I guess the good things come to those who wait.

Yes you can get it on the NHS - that is how I got mine.

However - I hear the waiting lists are ridiculous - anything up to 18 months wait.

You may be lucky and get in earlier. Go and ask the GP for a referral and see how long he thinks it will take.

Every communitz in the UK has a local mental health team which can provide CBT but as stated above - it can be a verz lengthz wait so if you can afford a session or two to get you started off it would be a great help.
