Hi there,
I've had a single dose of ceftriaxone and azitromicin like 10 days ago. I was told to expect some diarrhea and that it was a pretty common side effect.
The thing is, 10 days later and it's still not getting better. I get watery stools like 3 times a day and started worrying about Cdiff.
It doesn't seem to be particularly severe, however. I don't have any other symptons - no fever, no blood in my stool.
Is it normal for antibiotic associated diarrhea to last for 10 days after taking the meds? I'm thinking about starting some probiotic tablets tomorrow.
Any thoughts?
