Blood in phlegm so worried

I've had a sore throat and a cold for well over a week and today I’ve noticed blood in my phelgm
its only tinged with pink blood but even so I’m worried sick now after googling that I’ve got lung cancer or something serious

anyone else had blood stained phlegm? How long did it last?

You have a cold and sore throat!

You only need to worry if you're coughing up BLOOD - that is, blood and nothing else. And if that happened, you'd not even think to post on here.

You're fine - but obviously if worsens or continues, see GP

I get this fairly regularly when I get a sore throat, have done for decades.

Not dead yet.
