Hip pain

Has anyone been treated for hip pain on the outside of their leg ? Mine is usually worse when going up hill. I've read that this is usually down to inflammation but 400mg Ibuprofen twice a day for two weeks has made no difference. I had hoped that it would have cleared it up, leaving me pain free.

YES. Its called bursitis, or trochanteric bursitis. NSAIDS like ibuprofen can help but I wouldn't take those everyday. Rest and elevate your leg. this is completely normal
