I have been on beta blockers for my anxiety for about 4 months. I am wondering for how much longer this is okay. Is there anybody on here who has taken beta blockers for a long period of time with no problems? I take 60mg (40mg in the morning, 20mg in the evening) so it's not too large of amount.

I am on them for life as I had a heart attack - so 10 years so far.

Agree with the above

There is no "time limit" after which they become unsafe.

Good luck

I’m taking them daily for anxiety, I don’t plan to stop. As you said, we take small doses in comparison to those who need them for heart issues and they will be on them for life so there’s no reason not to be on them as long as we need, although there is the argument of avoiding the symptoms and not dealing with the problem but I’ve been making good progress with them.

Positive vibes,
