Hi everyone,

I’m fairly new here but I want to see if anyone has had similar symptoms. I am going to make an appointment with my doctor, but I’m just curious.

I have been having on and off front right lower rib pain for the past few weeks. On top of that today I feel like my breathing is really weird like I can’t take a deep breath and that I feel like I’m going to cough although it it just a dry cough. I am freaking out over lung problems. I have curved finger nails which I’ve had my whole life but I read that this can be a sign of lung disease. I also have some read spots on the back of my throat which I feel like is contributing. I am have random pains on my arms (shoulders and forearms), which I also know can be a symptom of lung issues.

Today I flared up, but I’ve been running about 20 miles a week and haven’t noticed any issues. If I had a lung issue, would I be able to run that much?

I have had everything you described and I am stil here! If you focus on your breathing it won’t be normal. If you had lung disease I doubt you would be walking 20miles let alone running it!

I have had this occur a few times...I get this tickle in my throat that I feel like it only soothed by drinking water, coughing or clearing my throat. The cough is a dry cough and I feel like my throat is tight. This doesn’t necessarily happen when my anxiety is high but it definitely amps it up. I keep thinking it is some type of lung disease. Has anyone ever had this? If it was a lung disease wouldn’t this be every day and not randomly. To add to the theory of lung disease I feel like I can’t take in a full breath.

It's probably just that you're breathing shallowly because of your anxiety - it happens to me quite frequently.

Has anyone just felt like their breathing is off? Like you have to try a few times to get a full breath and your breathing doesn’t feel satisfying? I am going on a weekend trip tomorrow (first trip with my anxiety) and I feel like I’m getting so anxious and freaked out. Like that I will need medical attention or something. Also freaking out I have a PE. God I hate this.
